Annually, the American Lung Association funds more than 200 research grants, enabling medial scientists around the country to seek the causes of lung disease and develop more effective treatments and cures. The knowledge gained is shared with physicians, scientists and other health care workers through professional journals, scientific publications, education programs and conferences.
